Reference Services

We offer the following services to UAMS Faculty, Students, Staff, and citizens of Arkansas -

Reference

• Direct individuals to health resources to help answer questions
• Answer brief factual questions
• Assist with on-site (in the library) computing
• Assist with off-campus, WiFi, or mobile device access to UAMS Library resources
• Conduct literature searches for UAMS faculty and staff (FREE) - Literature search request form

Education

• Provide consultations and customized training in the use and selection of literature databases, clinical tools, ejournal access and more - Workshops and Consultations
• Teach library research and information management classes tailored to meet specific course objectives or assignments
• Partner with academic departments to provide customized services through our Liaison program

Research Assistance

• Searching for Tests and Instruments
• Using Bibliographic Management Software
• Assist with copyright questions
• Avoiding Plagiarism - Tips for understanding plagiarism (includes tutorials and examples)
