UAMS Library Policies

The UAMS Library is the largest academic health information resource in Arkansas. Its purpose is to provide information for faculty, staff and students in all five colleges, the Graduate School, UAMS Medical Center and the campus as a whole.

The Library serves as a backup to the AHEC libraries, and as the AHEC Library for central Arkansas. The UAMS Library is also available to address the information needs of other users, ranging from employees of the Arkansas State Crime Lab to lawyers, social workers, teachers and the clergy.

It is the policy of the UAMS Library that access to the Library as well as assistance within the Library will be provided to all UAMS employees (faculty, staff, administrative, clerical, skilled trades, etc.) as well as students and those affiliated in other ways with UAMS. People not affiliated with UAMS are allowed to use the Library's resources on a limited basis.
