2 - Q) Who writes the articles that appear in the newsletter?
A) Some articles are invited, others are volunteered, but all are written by those working in the UAMS Library. The aim is to make the information as current as possible and as knowledgeable as possible, given the amount of space available.

3 - Q) I would like some more information about one of the articles.
A)
There is a form available on the Feedback/Subscribe page. You can use this form to submit your question.

4 - Q) What happens when I subscribe to the Newsletter?
A)
Your e-mail address will be added to a list of people who will be notified via e-mail when the newest version of the News is posted to our site.

5 - Q) I would like some more information about the UAMS Library.
A) Additional information about the UAMS Library, including maps and hours, can be found in the About the UAMS Library section of the Library's site.

6 - Q) Why do you use the "1 of 2 Next" links instead of putting the entire article on one page?
A) Most of the articles in the News are short enough to easily display on one screen; in some cases we can put two or more articles on one "page". Some users prefer not having to scroll to see the entire page's contents. We tried to create a layout that would keep scrolling to a minimum (depending on screen resolution). With longer articles, however, it was necessary to use two or more pages to keep a consistent layout. We use the "1 of 2 Next" notation to let you know which page of an article you are on and to provide a link to the previous and following pages of that article.

7 - Q) How do I print an article?
A)
Selecting the printer icon on your browser's tool bar or selecting Print from the File menu will print the page currently displayed in your browser window. If you experience any difficulty in printing the standard newsletter page we have a text-only version of the newsletter available online. Simply select the correct Newsletter Issue from the Text Only menu and then press the printer icon on the browser's tool bar or select Print from the File menu.

8 - Q) I'm having problems printing. Some of the text on the right side of the page is missing.
A)
Some default print settings chop off the right side of the text. Adjust the page margins before printing to fix this problem or print the Text Only version of the newsletter.

9 - Q) What browsers are supported?
A)
All. We have a text-only version of the Newsletter that is accessible to older browsers and to users with disabilities. This version can be viewed by clicking on the Text-Only hyperlink on any page. The primary version of the site, which uses graphics and tables, is compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 and higher and Netscape 4.0 and higher.

10 - Q) What screen resolution is best with the newsletter?
A) A resolution of at least 800x600 should work fine.

11 - Q) If I go to the Library will I be able to view any of the new audiovisual titles listed in the Publisher Previews?
A) No. The audiovisual items listed are not available in the library at this time. If you are interested in any of the titles, please use the online form to submit a request for additional information. You will then be contacted and arrangements made for the requested material to be brought in for your viewing.

12 - Q) If I try to submit more than one Publisher Preview request at a time, instead of allowing me to finish my request, the cover page of the most current article is displayed.
A) This is by design. When submitting a request you can select as many titles as you want from any Publisher Preview issue, however, you can not send in back-to-back requests during the same 'visit' to the Publisher Preview page.
