Ryan Elected President
of the Medical Library Association
Mary Ryan, UAMS Library Director, was recently elected president-elect of the Medical Library Association (MLA). She will assume the position at the conclusion of the MLA 2007 annual meeting in Philadelphia in May, and will become president of MLA in May of 2008.
This will be Ryan’s second time serving on the MLA Board of Directors. She served on the board from 1990–1993, where she was also Section Council chair. She is currently a member of MLA’s Scholarly Publishing Task Force, the Joint MLA/Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries (AAHSL) Legislative Task Force, and the AAHSL Board of Directors. |
