New Online Resources The Library has recently added these online resources: PsychiatryOnline Keep up-to-date with this collection of e-books, online journals, and self-assessment tools from American Psychiatric Publishing, Inc. Resources include:
Users can search across all these resources at once. Based on sophisticated indexing custom-designed for the field of psychiatry, searches are likely to yield relevant results. Links from bibliographic references lead to the full text of journal articles in the five journals included in PsychiatryOnline or to abstracts via PubMed. New APA Practice Guidelines plus revisions to DSM codes are posted as they are issued. concurrent user license) ( EBSCO database) Produced by the Buros Institute at the University of Nebraska, the Mental Measurements Yearbook provides users with a comprehensive guide to over 2,000 contemporary testing instruments. The MMY series contains information essential for a complete evaluation of test products within such diverse areas as psychology, education, business, and leadership. Typical MMY test entries include descriptive information and one or two reviews written by professionals in selected fields. The instruments themselves are not present in the MMY but publisher contact information and price data are provided. This version of MMY provides coverage from Volume 9, 1985 to the present. Access Medicine (five concurrent
user license) AccessMedicine is a collection of e-books including Harrison's Online, Hurst's The Heart, The Metabolic and Molecular Bases of Inherited Disease, Williams Obstetrics, Current Medical Diagnosis and Treatment and other LANGE Educational Library titles. http://www.accessmedicine.com/lange.aspx In addition Access Medicine provides patient education information, up-to-date drug information from Clinical Pharmacology, and self-assessment and other online learning tools to help study for the boards, prepare for recertification or increase general knowledge. Access Medicine is updated daily. Chronicle of Higher Education The online version of the Chronicle. This daily newspaper is especially popular for its job listings and analysis of issues affecting education. Our UAMS subscription covers 1995 to present.
