New Online Journals

The Library has purchased through Ovid the Lippincott Williams and Wilkins Total Access Package of online journals. This package of journals, totaling over 200 journals, will add considerably to our Ovid full text.

History of Medicine Associates’ Spring Lecture, March 31, 2004

The History of Medicine Associates of the UAMS Library will sponsor a lecture on March 31, 2004 by Dr. Adolph Buddy Giesecke Jr. of Dallas. Dr. Giesecke is Professor, Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. His presentation will be on “John F. Kennedy in Dallas: a Trauma Care Perspective”. Dr. Giesecke will discuss the roles of the doctors at Parkland Hospital who attempted to resuscitate the president.

The lecture will be in the Pauly Auditorium at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, March 31st. The lecture is part of the “Lecture Series on the History of the Medical Sciences” sponsored by the Associates.
