UAMS Library Weekend Hours to Change

Weekend hours at the UAMS Library will be different beginning May 18, 2003. At the request of Library users, the hours have been redistributed to allow for more open time on Saturday and a few hours less on early Sunday afternoons. The total number of hours the Library will be open will not change.

This action reflects users' continuing requests for longer hours on Saturday, supported by the gate-counts and usage statistics for the weekend hours. Those numbers do show that the number of people using the library on Saturday afternoons is indeed high, and that the amount of usage early Sunday afternoons (between noon and 2pm) is extremely low.

Beginning Sunday, May 18, 2003, the weekend hours for the Library will be:

Saturday 9 am - 6 pm
Sunday 2 pm - 12 Midnight

We hope this adjustment in hours will be a welcome change for our patrons. End of Article
