Center on Aging Library Provides Clinical Research Services

The Donald W. Reynolds Center on Aging Resource Library at UAMS is now in Phase II of its development. In continuing with the Center on Aging mission of research, clinical care, and education, the Resource Library is now providing additional clinical research services with support from the main UAMS Library. This growth began when the Resource Library was recognized as an affiliate member of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, National Library of Medicine.

Recently, the clinicians, researchers, educators, and staff at the Reynolds Center on Aging were surveyed concerning their Resource Library use and needs. The results of the survey will be used to improve services and access to materials.

The Resource Library has also received a donation from Novartis Incorporated to purchase books for a professional reading collection that will serve the faculty, staff, and students at the Reynolds Center on Aging. Currently, 11 books have been purchased with more to follow.

These are just a few new items included in the Phase II development of the Reynolds Center on Aging Resource Library. Updates will be posted as other services are added. For more information, please contact Jane Prather (jane.prather@fcsmtp.uams.edu), Jan Hart (HartJanK@uams.edu), Abby Holt (HoltAbby@uams.edu) or Rena Sheffer (ShefferRenaA@uams.edu). End of Article
