Weeding of Some Older Journals For the past several months, members of the Library faculty have been looking for sites in which to store the UAMS Archives collections currently housed in Hendrix Hall, which must be vacated June 30 of this year. Unfortunately, there is novacant site on-campus or off-campus which could safely house the Archives collections. The only viable alternative is to weed enough of the older journals at the Distribution Center, most of which have not been used in several years, to allow space for storage of the Archives. The weeding process will begin this month and the
Archives will be moved to the Distribution Center before the June 30
deadline. If you have any questions related to the weeding project,
please contact Mary Ryan (686-6730 or RyanMaryL@exchange.uams.edu)
or Mary Hawks (686-6749 or HawksMaryS@exchange.uams.edu).

More Full Text Journals Available In addition to the full text journals available via Ovid, MD Consult, and individually through the Library's online catalog, over 167 journals are available to users in full-text through Academic Ideal. On campus, these titles can be accessed at www.library.uams.edu/databases/ideal.htm. Searches by words or by browsing through available journal titles can be done. One warning: Although there are citations before 1999 listed, only the full-text for articles from 1999 and forward can be retrieved. For more information about the Library's full-text
journals via Academic Ideal, please contact the Library at 686-6734
or infoaccesslibrary@exchange.uams.edu.
