Faculty Development Room Moves Up!

The faculty development room has moved to the 3rd floor AV area. The room is equipped with a Mac G3 and a Pentium 450 PC along with a flatbed scanner and slide scanner, zip drives, and CD-ROM burners. Hardware and software for analog and digital video capture/editing was recently purchased by the Self-Directed Learning Program Committee. The Committee also added the following software programs to support faculty developers: Adobe PhotoShop 5.5, Office 97, QuickTime Pro 4, Adobe Acrobat4, the full WinZip program, DreamWeaver, Fireworks, Real Media Producer, FrontPage, Publisher, and Macromedia Flash. LRC staff is available to assist faculty members in using these programs.

Used Book Sale March 2, 2000

The Library will hold its annual Used Book Sale on Thursday, March 2, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm in the lobby in front of the Library. Books and journals discarded from the Library as well as some non-medical books will sell for $.50 - $1.00. Those of you who have attended this sale in the past know that you can get some real bargains at these low prices. Proceeds of the sale will be used to enhance the Library's services.
