Debra Lee Miller, M.L.S., is the Education & LiaisonLibrarian at the UAMS Library, Reference Services Department. Debra is Coordinator of the Library Liaison Program. This is a program established to foster partnerships between the Library and the research, educational, clinical, and outreach programs at UAMS by offering services such as, updates on new resources and databases, advanced literature searching by expert searchers, consultations and specialized search strategy development, and library orientations/tours/presentations/training. Debra is also involved with education, instruction, and outreach activities throughout the UAMS campus. Debra began her career as an academic research librarian at the University of Kentucky, Lexington in 1980 and continued her commitment to library and information service working in reference, collection management, web development, and numerous public service departments before retiring Emeritus Faculty from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville in 2007. Debra is employed with OCLC, Inc., as a QuestionPoint Virtual Reference Librarian. QuestionPoint is a unique online reference service, supported by a global network of cooperating libraries and research institutions worldwide, offering web based chat, cobrowse and cooperative reference tools.
