UAMS PDA Purchase Program

HP iPAQ 2790 - $360

After extensive research, the best option for a well priced PDA was the HP iPAQ 2790 Pocket PC with standard 1-year warranty for $360.  An alternative option is the iPAQ 2790 with the care pack up lift service (9x5 Next-Business-Day exchange with 3-year warranty) for $415. Under the bulk purchase, all HP would need from a student/faculty ordering with the standard 1-year warranty ($360) is your serial number to assist them.  If you order with the care pack up lift service ($415) you will need to provide an email address and serial number.

The HP iPAQ 2790 is priced at $507 directly from HP.  Discounted prices on Internet or discounted stores exist, but do not come close to the $360 offered to UAMS students and faculty.

Students and faculty will be able to purchase a PDA from the Library Circulation Desk from 7:30 a.m. till 4:00 p.m.  Checks, credit cards, and IDTs (interdepartmental transfers) will be accepted – no cash. There will be no extra charges or taxes added to the purchase price set by HP above.
