LRC Testing Procedures

WebCT Tests

The LRC Staff will:

  • Check the student's ID - either UAMS ID Badge or Driver's License
  • Have the student sign beside their name in the Sign In Book
  • Check the secure spreadsheet for the password for the test
  • Take the student to the Testing Room (or the Instructional Room/3rd Floor testing area if the testing room is full)
  • Instruct the student to leave all books, bags (including purses), notes, etc. at the front of the room
  • Instruct the student to turn off cell phones, PDAs, CD-Players, and I-Pods and leave them at the front of the room
  • Have the student log in to WebCT
  • Enter the proctor password after the student looks away
  • Shut the door and change the sign on the door to indicate testing is taking place in the room
  • Collect any scratch paper that was used for the test

Authorware Tests

The LRC Staff will:

  • Check the student's ID - either UAMS ID Badge or Driver's License
  • Have the student sign beside their name in the Sign In Book
  • Give the student his/her password sheet with the instructions to return the password sheet after the test is over
  • Take the student to his/her designated testing area (Testing Room, Instructional Room, or 3rd floor)
  • Instruct the student to leave all books, bags (including purses), notes, etc. at the front of the room
  • Instruct the student to turn off cell phones, PDAs, CD-Players, and I-Pods and leave them at the front of the room
  • Shut the door to the room and make sure the "Closed for Testing" sign is showing
  • Collect all password sheets from all students and put in the designated box for the instructor to retrieve
  • Lock the computers used for testing as students finish

Perception Tests

The LRC Staff will:

  • Check the student's ID - either UAMS ID Badge or Driver's License
  • Have the student sign beside their name in the Sign In Book
  • Take the student to the Testing Room (or the Instructional Room/3rd Floor testing area if the testing room is full)
  • Instruct the student to leave all books, bags (including purses), notes, etc. at the front of the room
  • Instruct the student to turn off cell phones, PDAs, CD-Players, and I-Pods and leave them at the front of the room
  • Open the log in screen for Perception
  • Have the student enter his/her name as printed in the secure password book
  • Enter the proctor password after the student looks away
  • Shut the door and change the sign on the door to indicate testing is taking place in the room
  • Collect any scratch paper that was used for the test
