Citrix Client Installation & Access

• To successfully run applications on the Citrix server you need two things
  1. The ICA client installed on your computer
  2. Your UAMS login account information
  
  
• When using the Citrix Access Gateway you will open the the URL in your web browser and login with your UAMS username and password. After selecting the web client interface you will either install the ICA client or proceed to use the applications available. To see the how the login process should look click here.
  
  
• If the ICA has not been installed, there will be a link to the client under the Message Center on the page with the applications available. If your client is installed and up to date you will not get this option. To install the client simply click the link and follow the on screen instructions. • Sometimes browser security options will block the installation from the web site. When this happens or the installation fails to complete, you can manually download and install the ICA client.

• Once the client is installed on your Windows based computer, you will be able to use either Internet Explorer or FireFox to access your course materials. Simply point your browser to the Citrix web site http://cag.uams.edu and login using your UAMS login information.
