User Population
- Primary users are faculty, staff, students, and clinicians in the
Colleges of Public Health, Health Related Professions, Medicine, Nursing,
and Pharmacy, the Graduate School, and the 320 bed University Hospital
- Participates in the state's Area Health Education Center (AHEC)
program by serving the information needs of nineteen cities in nine
counties in central Arkansas and provides backup support to the entire
state of Arkansas
- Serves as the only resource library in the state of Arkansas for
the National Network of Libraries of Medicine South Central Region

- 6,304 books checked out to users
- 4,058 books and journal articles borrowed from other libraries
for UAMS users

catalog, and Internet full text resources;4 laptops for student in-house check-out.
- Learning Resource Center with 74 computer workstations with 16 computer lab available 24 hours a day; 3 computers maintained in clerkship
areas
